There have been quite a few little projects going on around here. It's amazing how much of a difference quick fixes and a little styling can make. It's no newsflash that live plants go a long way in infusing life into a home, and personally I'm partial to user-friendly succulents given my black thumb. (Above, my workstation after going a little crazy plant shopping.)
To keep things simple here's brief list of foolproof chic and inexpensive accessories:
- dried branches, rocks, moss, geodes
- live plants, including succulents (baby succulents above from Home Depot)
- vintage books
- fresh flowers and/or live branches
One other inexpensive change we made here early on was switching out all of the contractor grade brushed silver hardware to some sassy brass numbers. I kid you not, it was like contractor-grade-hardware hell in here before. But with the addition of these brass babies it was looking very Ralph Lauren in here in no time. The minor change saved us from the expensive and risky venture of refinishing the cabinets!
A few organic and elegant touches - and a little love - go a long way in making a space come together!
